Adele Parker
Sexton
Adele Parker serves as the Sexton of Grace Presbyterian Church, caring for the building and grounds that make our church feel welcoming, peaceful, and ready for worship each week. Her work touches nearly every part of church life, from maintaining the sanctuary and shared spaces to helping ensure that our facilities are clean, safe, organized, and prepared for the many ministries, gatherings, and special events that take place at Grace. Adele’s dedication is one of the reasons our congregation has such a beautiful and well-cared-for place to worship, serve, learn, and fellowship together.
Adele believes the Lord led her to Grace Presbyterian Church, where she has faithfully served since 2020. Before coming to Grace, she retired from the VA after 35 years of service in order to care for her mother, whom she sadly lost just six weeks later. Through that season of change and loss, Adele found her way to Grace and has become a valued part of our church staff and community.
Adele is a wife of 34 years, a mother of five, and a proud grandmother to 11 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, along with her beloved fur babies. In her free time, she enjoys stained glass, gardening, and spending time on her farm, which is now a wildlife management farm. Her love of creation, her hardworking spirit, and her deep care for others are reflected in the way she tends to both the people and the place of Grace Presbyterian Church.
