Chelsea Stern

Chelsea holds the Bachelor of Music Degree in Church Music from Baylor University, the Master of Sacred Music from Perkins School of Theology at Southern Methodist University and the Master of Voice Performance from SMU.  Under Chelsea's leadership the GPC Music Ministry has greatly expanded into a vibrant multi-generational ministry including Chancel Choir, Handbell Ensemble, Praise Team and Children's Choir Program.  Chelsea regularly supports local student scholars in the music ministry and church volunteer musicians who serve as instrumentalists and singers.  She served as a member of the Presbyterian Committee on Congregational Song from 2010-2016 - the Hymnal Committee that created the PCUSA hymnal, "Glory to God".  Through her work on the committee she has made denominational connections across the country and has served at the PAM (Presbyterian Association of Musicians) conferences as Children's Choir Director at both MO Ranch and Montreat.  Chelsea is committed to vibrant congregational song and welcomes all styles of music into the worship services at GPC.  Chelsea is married to Chris Stern, a FNP at Baylor Scott and White and is Mom to her three extraordinary blessings, Chloe, Camden and Charlotte.
