Dr. Jonathan Gary

Dr. Jonathan Gary serves as our organist, bringing beauty, reverence, and musical excellence to our worship services. Through his skillful playing and thoughtful musical leadership, he helps guide the congregation in worship and enriches the sacred atmosphere of our sanctuary.

Dr. Gary began his piano studies at the age of 12 in Guadeloupe, French West Indies.  He received the BM in Piano Performance degree from Ouachita Baptist University and a Performer's Certificate from the Stanislav Moniuski Academy of Music in Gdansk, Poland.  He earned his MM in Piano Performance and Pedagogy from Baylor University.  Additionally, he earned his Doctorate in Educational Administration (Higher Ed.) from the University of Mary Hardin Baylor, where he taught and served in executive leadership positions for the conservatory of music and music department for 22 years.

He serves as Treasurer and Performance Contest Chair for the Central Texas Music Teachers Association (CTMTA), for the Texas Music Teacher Association he is the 2025-2027 Region 2 Performance Contest Chair, is the keyboardist at Covenant Lutheran Church and organist at Grace Presbyterian Church.  He and his wife, Emily Gary, are founders and instructors of Gary Music Studio.
